One letter is all it takes…

I saw a message on a social media site today that made me stop what I was doing and create this little message. We all know (or hope we know) what she meant to say to her BFF but the missing letter turned the meaning quite upside down! Just a reminder that even if your spell-checker isn’t telling you anything is wrong, you’d better read your letter one more time.

Friend vs. Fiend

Be careful what you write!

To reiterate simply what I have said many times, one letter really is all it takes.

  6. Do you remember Letter Man from the Electric Company. This would be perfect for him, LMA

  7. When I worked for the Canadian Pharmacists Association my biggest fear as their senior communications person was that one day I wouldn’t catch a common misspelling I had, missing the “p” in pharmacists. 🙂

  8. The damn spell checker and the English language… constantly makes a arse of me!!

  9. And let’s not forget the famous mistake of writing “there” for “their,” and other mistakes like misuse of prepositional phrases, and pronoun with verb agreement.

    Oh, the perils of writing…argh!
